Founded in Nottingham in the late 1990s, Detonate has grown from grassroots basement sessions into one of the UK’s most respected raves. What began as small underground parties has grown into a cornerstone of the UK music scene, evolving alongside heavyweights like Chase & Status, Shy FX, Nia Archives, Sammy Virji, Skream and Sub Focus.
Detonate’s DNA is rooted in drum & bass, jungle, garage, hip hop, & bass music. Always pushing boundaries while staying true to the culture. The events range from intimate club nights to large-scale festivals, hosting massive headliners alongside the next generation of talent.

Since its inception, Detonate has brought raves to almost every corner of the city — past and present. Lighting up venues like Unit 13, The Brickworks, Motorpoint Arena, Rock City, The Level, Stealth, Rescue Rooms, The Cell, The Bodega, The Bomb, Marcus Garvey Centre, Beatroot, Deluxe, Dubble Bubble, The Old Vic, Media, and culminating in a massive dance music festival at Nottingham’s Colwick Park.
