Big news today is that Roni Size is back. Once a regular performer at Detonate, Roni's live band played for us at Rock City in March 2004 to celebrate the release of his album. Then 4 years later Reprazent reformed for a one off tour which landed at our 9th Birthday parties in Nottingham and Sheffield. Since then, the guy who shaped that Bristol D&B sound has been pretty quiet, until now...
'Take Kontrol will herald the arrival of Size's new label, Mansion Sounds. The digital version comprises 25 tracks and a DJ mix, while the CD features 16 cuts. A six-track EP, Size Matters, will precede the album on August 18th. Both records will focus on "dancefloor cuts for the heads," the producer says. It has also been revealed that new album from Reprazent, the live outfit headed by Size, is penciled in for an early 2015 release.'
