Having been promoting and DJing in Brighton since he was a teenager, Friction got his first major breakthrough after his first release in 1999 under the name 'Kinnetix'. Following collaborations with the likes Stakka, Skynet and K-Tee he's now racked up critically acclaimed releases on some of the scene's most respected labels; Valve, Tru Playaz, Hardware, 31 Records and Hospital, to name a few.

In between his production and smashing dancefloors all over the world with his infamous across-the-board DJ sets, Friction still has time to run his own seminal label - Shogun Audio. Championing artists that have gone on to become production legends in their own right such as Break and Rockwell, Shogun has maintained its position as one of the scene's leading labels.
