Consistently being voted as the best drum and bass DJ only reinforces what we all know anout Andy Clarke aka The Executioner; he's a drum and bass phenomenon. Seemngly having been at the top of his
game for the last 10 years his hyped-up and party-starting 3-deck mixing has propelled him into the top 10 of Mixmag's Ultimate Power List. Between producing, and travelling around the world DJing,
Andy C also has time to run one of drum and bass's leading labels - Ram Records
Andy's journey in drum and bass started at the young age of 13 when he was snuck into a rave by his older sister back in his hometown of Hornchurch, Essex. Soon after he took up DJing and picked up
the late slot on his local pirate radio station Cyndicate FM. Slowly, but surely he built his reputation as a dedicated and talented DJ as a resident for his local nights, and by 1993 Andy had
cemented his position within the drum and bass family alongside the likes of DJ Hype, Brockie and Nicky Blackmarket.
All the while, Andy was honing his skills as a producer; at the age of 16 he released his first solo tunes on the Sour Mash EP on his very own Ram Records. He followed it up with a slew of releases,
including the legendary Valley of the Shadows and, alongside Shimon, Bodyrock.
Alongside these seminal releases, Andy C has over the last 20 (!) years released mix CDs for the likes of fabriclive, Ministry of Sound and DnBarena as well as his own Nightlife series. Rarely
playing in Nottingham, you won't want to miss his epic 3-deck mixes.
