Get tickets thru your mobile phone….
Our new ‘Text Tickets’ scheme not only allows you to buy your ticket instantly on your mobile phone but it also eliminates the need for any paper tickets. So, you no longer need to worry about roaching it by accident, spilling tea on it or one of your gypo mates stealing it!
With every new bit of technology there are people who take to it like an OAP to a power mac, so here’s a fool proof guide to getting a Detonate Text Ticket!
Detonate text tickets are an exclusive barcode which is scanned on the door of the event which tells us that you’ve paid. As soon as they are scanned they become invalid.
Detonate Text tickets aren’t billed to your mobile phone, you will need a debit or credit card to buy one. The first step is to Text ‘Detonate’ to 82500 or go to here
1.If you text you’ll receive a message which says ‘book and view your detonate tickets’. Below that there is a WAP link – click on it and connect to the web. WAP pages sometimes take a minute to load so be patient.
2.You will get thru to the ‘Detonate Purchase Portal’. Scroll down and select ‘Make A Booking’ Select the event you want tickets for and click on continue. If there is a discount offer then you will be shown 2 prices – select the price you want to pay HOT TIP: select the lowest price! Select how many and hit continue. The booking fee will be added (60p) and it will show you the full price.
3. Fill in your card details and hit continue – please note: Card information is securely transmitted to HSBC card services for authorization.
Once your payment has gone thru you will be told and you can follow a link to ‘view your tickets’.
4. Your ticket consists of an exclusive pin number and a barcode. Click on download ticket and save it to your phone. The barcode is scanned on the door of event, so it is essential that you bring your mobile phone to the event. The pin number is a secondary measure in case there are problems with the barcode.
What happens if I forward it to my mates?
The barcode is exclusive to your phone. Once it has been used the barcode will no longer be valid, so if you forward it to someone else it will still only work for one of you.
